Warehouse Assistant.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Assistant to support the daily operations of our warehouse. The role involves receiving goods, organising inventory, preparing orders for dispatch, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics company, or distribution centre in Nigeria is an advantage.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who takes pride in keeping things organised and can work well within a team to meet daily operational targets.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against delivery notes, and report discrepancies.
• Organise and store products in designated warehouse locations following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Pick and pack orders accurately for dispatch to customers or distribution points.
• Assist with periodic stock-taking and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles carefully to prevent product damage.
• Report damaged, missing, or expired goods to the warehouse supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• SSCE/WAEC certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, store, or logistics environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25kg) throughout the workday.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills for stock counting and record-keeping.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Honest, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak periods when required.

Nice to Have

• Experience using warehouse management systems or inventory software.
• Forklift operation experience or willingness to be trained.
• OND in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
