About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Driver to operate company vehicles for staff transportation, deliveries, or logistics runs. The driver will be responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and goods, maintaining the vehicle in good condition, and adhering to Nigerian traffic laws.

The ideal candidate has a valid Nigerian driver's licence, a clean driving record, and extensive knowledge of road networks in the relevant city or region. They should be professional, courteous, and able to manage their time effectively.

This role requires someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable driving in heavy traffic conditions typical of Nigerian cities.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to transport staff, goods, or documents to designated locations safely and on time.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle in clean, roadworthy condition, including daily inspections and regular servicing.
• Plan routes efficiently considering traffic patterns, road conditions, and delivery schedules.
• Keep accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance activities in the vehicle log.
• Comply with all Nigerian traffic laws, speed limits, and road safety regulations.
• Report any accidents, traffic violations, mechanical issues, or security concerns immediately.
• Ensure all vehicle documents (insurance, road worthiness, vehicle licence) are current and available.

Requirements

• Valid Nigerian driver's licence (Class D or E as applicable).
• Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.
• SSCE/WAEC certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Thorough knowledge of road networks, routes, and traffic patterns in the operational area.
• Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (tyre changes, fluid checks, etc.).
• Good communication skills and professional demeanour.

Nice to Have

• Defensive driving certification or training.
• Experience driving executive personnel or VIPs.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• LASDRI (Lagos State Drivers Institute) certification for Lagos-based roles.
