About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to help our organisation make informed, data-driven decisions. You will collect, process, and analyse large datasets to uncover trends, generate insights, and present findings that directly impact business strategy.

As a Data Analyst, you will work with stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs, build dashboards and reports, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data we rely on. You will also help establish data governance standards and improve our overall analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
• Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to business objectives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting requirements.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract data from relational databases efficiently.
• Present data findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear visualisations and written reports.
• Support the development of data models and contribute to data warehouse design efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modelling functions.
• Working knowledge of a statistical programming language such as Python or R.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline frameworks.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their practical business applications.
• Experience in the financial services, telecoms, or FMCG sectors within Nigeria.
• Professional certification such as Google Data Analytics Certificate or Microsoft Data Analyst Associate.
