Security Officer.

About the Role

We are hiring a Security Officer to protect the company's premises, assets, staff, and visitors. The security officer will manage access control, monitor the facility, deter unauthorised entry, and respond to security incidents professionally.

The ideal candidate has prior security experience, is physically fit, vigilant, and maintains a calm, authoritative presence. Experience working with a registered security company or in-house security team in Nigeria is required.

This is a role for someone who is disciplined, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining a safe environment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the premises by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, and issuing passes.
• Patrol the facility at regular intervals to detect and deter security threats.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems, reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
• Respond to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Ensure all doors, gates, and entry points are secured during and after business hours.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and security reports.
• Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.

Requirements

• SSCE/WAEC certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a security officer or guard.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Basic literacy for maintaining security logs and writing incident reports.
• Honest, disciplined, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• No criminal record; verifiable references from previous employers.

Nice to Have

• Training or certification from a registered security training institution.
• Experience operating CCTV monitoring systems and access control equipment.
• Military, paramilitary, or police background.
• First aid certification.
