Facility Manager.

About the Role

We are looking for a Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of our physical premises. This role involves managing building systems, coordinating with maintenance vendors, and ensuring a safe, comfortable work environment for all staff.

The ideal candidate has experience managing facilities in Nigeria, understands the unique infrastructure challenges (power, water, security), and can manage multiple service providers while maintaining quality standards.

This is a role for a practical, detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of the physical workspace and ensures everything runs without interruption.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural repairs.
• Oversee power supply management including generator operations, diesel procurement, and inverter/solar systems.
• Coordinate with security companies, cleaners, gardeners, and other facility service providers.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, health and safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage facility budgets, track maintenance costs, and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Plan and oversee office renovations, fit-outs, or relocations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and vendor agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Facility Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility or building management.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety).
• Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating service contracts.
• Good budgeting and cost management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to facility emergencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and record-keeping.

Nice to Have

• Certification from IFMA (International Facility Management Association) or equivalent.
• Experience managing facilities across multiple locations.
• Knowledge of green building practices and energy efficiency measures.
• Experience with facility management software or CMMS tools.
