About the Role

We are looking for a talented Content Writer to produce high-quality written content that educates, engages, and converts our target audience. You will research, write, and edit content across multiple formats including blog posts, website copy, email newsletters, whitepapers, and social media captions.

As a Content Writer, you will work closely with the marketing and product teams to develop content that supports our brand narrative and business objectives. You will ensure all content is optimised for search engines, aligns with our brand voice, and meets the needs of our audience.

The ideal candidate is a versatile writer with excellent research skills, a solid understanding of SEO principles, and the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and channels.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit engaging long-form and short-form content including blog posts, articles, landing pages, and case studies.
• Optimise all content for search engines using keyword research, on-page SEO best practices, and content structure guidelines.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars and align content with campaign objectives.
• Maintain and evolve the brand voice and tone across all written communications.
• Write compelling email newsletters, product descriptions, and promotional copy.
• Conduct thorough research on industry topics, trends, and competitors to inform content strategy.
• Edit and proofread content produced by team members and external contributors to ensure quality and consistency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional content writing or copywriting experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English grammar.
• Working knowledge of SEO principles including keyword research, meta descriptions, and content optimisation.
• Experience with content management systems such as WordPress, Webflow, or similar platforms.
• Ability to write for diverse audiences and adapt tone across different content formats.
• Strong research skills and the ability to quickly understand and write about new topics.
• A portfolio of published work demonstrating versatility and quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz.
• Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools for content visuals.
• Experience writing for Nigerian audiences across industries such as fintech, health, or e-commerce.
• Familiarity with content marketing analytics and tools like Google Analytics or HubSpot.
