Store Manager.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our retail location. The store manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, supervising staff, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

The ideal candidate has retail management experience in Nigeria, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and can motivate a team to meet sales targets while maintaining high operational standards.

This is a leadership role for someone who is hands-on, customer-focused, and capable of managing both people and processes to run a profitable, well-organised store.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and staff scheduling.
• Drive sales performance by setting targets, coaching staff, and implementing promotional activities.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and minimise shrinkage.
• Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ensure the store is clean, well-merchandised, and visually appealing to customers.
• Handle customer complaints and escalations professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operations reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention measures.

Requirements

• OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and inventory management tools.
• Good numeracy skills for cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing a store in a shopping mall or high-traffic retail location.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising principles.
• Experience with retail analytics and sales forecasting.
• Familiarity with FMCG or fashion retail operations in Nigeria.
