About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Electrician to handle electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across our premises. The electrician will ensure all electrical systems are safe, functional, and compliant with relevant safety standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical work in Nigerian commercial or residential settings, is familiar with generator systems, and can troubleshoot faults efficiently. Safety awareness and attention to detail are critical for this role.

This is a practical, hands-on position suited for a qualified electrician who takes pride in reliable, safe workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, switches, and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• Service and maintain generators, inverters, and solar power systems.
• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues outside normal working hours when required.
• Maintain records of all electrical work, inspections, and parts used.

Requirements

• Trade certificate or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Installation.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience as an electrician.
• SSCE/WAEC certificate or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems, wiring codes, and safety procedures.
• Experience with generator installation, servicing, and changeover systems (manual and automatic).
• Ability to use electrical testing and measurement tools (multimeter, clamp meter, etc.).
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to safety.

Nice to Have

• NABTEB (National Business and Technical Examinations Board) qualification in electrical trades.
• Experience with three-phase power systems and industrial electrical installations.
• Knowledge of solar panel installation and inverter systems.
• NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers) or COREN registration for higher-level roles.
